Bentota

Bentota has a wide variety of activities, including stunning beaches, water sports, and lively streets that draw tourists looking for tropical enjoyment. On Sri Lanka’s southwest coast, this well-known resort town is situated between the ocean, the river, and the Bentota lagoon. It is the hub of the area’s water sports activity. Numerous conservation programs are underway in the region, and endangered sea turtles visit the beach to lay their eggs despite the activity.
Diverse marine life may also be found in the river and the dense mangrove swamps.

Lunuganga Gardens - 14 acres of lush, beautifully landscaped gardens on the banks of the Dedduwa lake, this was the renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa’s personal hideaway.
Bentota Lagoon - Jet Skiing, windsurfing, boat rides, tube rides, waterboarding and much more, there are many thrills and spills to enjoy on the Bentota lagoon.
Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery - Here, five turtle species - Olive Ridleys, Leatherbacks, Green Turtles, Loggerheads and Hawksbills, make their nests. Your visit will help the project’s conservation efforts.
