Habarana

Habarana is ideally situated on the main highway leading to Sri Lanka’s north and east, making it the hub of the cultural triangle’s tourism attractions. Being close to Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, Dambulla, Sigiriya, and Ritigala, it is the perfect starting point for seeing the main attractions. It may also be used as a stopover on trips to Jaffna or Trincomalee. This is also where many elephant viewing trips to the national parks of Minneriya and Kaudulla begin.
With several hamlet excursions that provide an understanding of rural life, the picturesque Habarana Lake and its environs are also a popular destination.
